Jazz Daze is a story of musical self-discovery. Set in seventies West London to an original score by Dr. Courtney Pine OBE. It features the vocal talents of Eska Mtungwesi and Maxi Jazz (from Faithless).
Follow the young Courtney as he prepares to take his first solo in the school band. Meet the inspiring characters who help him on this magical journey to discovering jazz music.
Expect to see some familiar names in unusual places, with characters like Miss Day and The Rabbit recalling jazz legends as the story unfolds.BRENT BLACK MUSIC HISTORY
North West London has been the home of black music in Britain for 50 years, and here, music activist Kwaku in a ground breaking documentary unearths the legends that made Brent the music centre of Britain. Liverpool had the Beatles and Mersey Beat, but Brent had Aswad, Mastermind Road show, Jet Star Records and its own Funky Beat. Even Bob Marley soaked in the vibes when he lived in area in the seventies. Some of the legends of that musical era tell their stories for the 1 st time.
